In your printer’s slicer, choose a manufacturer or material-family profile, such as “Generic PETG”. Then compare the nozzle temperature, bed temperature, speed and cooling with the values on the product page.
If the product page gives a range, start near the middle of the range or from the printer’s ready-made profile. Do not blindly copy every setting from a different printer.
Controls how freely the material melts. Too low can produce weak layers; too high increases stringing and the risk of material degradation.
Helps the first layer adhere. Too low encourages detachment; too high can soften the lower part of the print.
Higher speed demands more from the printer and material. With an unfamiliar spool, start toward the slower half of the product-page range.
The fan helps layers solidify, but excessive cooling can weaken layer adhesion in technical materials.
Most adhesion, detachment and material-build-up problems appear early. Stop the print if the part comes loose from the bed or material collects around the nozzle. Unattended printing is not a good way to test a new material.
If you change temperature, speed, cooling and retraction at the same time, you cannot know which change helped. Make one controlled adjustment and print a small test again.

Let the part and bed cool before removal. Seal the opened spool in a bag with desiccant or place it in a dry storage box. For moisture-sensitive material, mark the opening date and latest drying date on the spool.
